Testo Air Thermometers Guide

Measuring devices are one of the most advanced and most important tools nowadays especially when it comes to saving our future. Being able to measure pollution levels, exerted heat, and the concentration of certain gasses is what can help us trace our way to a greener future. A company that has been going at it for more than 60 years is Testo.

Formerly known as Testoterm, the German brand has slowly but surely expanded worldwide. Today Testo provides around 650,00 professionals with advanced measurement devices equipped with the latest technologies. One popular line of products Testo manufactures nowadays are air thermometers.

With the Testo 310, you can perform safety checks, basic and complex combustion analysis, and boiler efficiency. These measurements are possible thanks to many different specs including the 1500 mAh battery, 2-line backlit LCD display and a measuring range between 0 °C and 400 °C. The Testo 310, like all quality Testo thermometers comes with a stainless steel probe.

It takes only 30 seconds for the device to be ready to be used once powered on. The 310 has a reaction time below 50 seconds for temperature measurements and below 30 seconds for flue gas measurements. You can also measure ambient CO, Pressure, type K TC, and J TC temperature as well as flue gas CO.

This robust and light instrument comes with a probe filter which you can change quickly and easily and a condensate trap. The trap helps you empty the device quickly and easily. The 310 comes with integrated magnets that act as mounting points so you can attach the device to any metal surface and work with it easily.

With the Testo 340 flue gas analyzer, you can measure NO, CO, SO2, NO2 NO low and CO low. The measuring range of the 340 is between 0 ppm and 10,000 ppm but it can extend with high gas concentrations. This device like many other Testo thermometers also comes with emission analysis with up to 4 sensors that are completely configurable. You can transfer the data from the measurements onto a PC or tablet.

With the 340 you can also do onboard diagnostics and you also don't have to worry about the longevity of the sensors which can last up to 5 years. The 340 is also useful for industrial users especially if you're working with gas and diesel engines, furnaces, boilers and process equipment. You also get to choose from 18 different fuels and get onboard logging programs as well as a wide range of probes which make the 340 extremely versatile.

Testo's 550 digital refrigeration manifold comes equipped with Bluetooth. Like the 310, the 550 has a large 2 line backlit display and is compatible with the MeasureQuick app providing live data to any smart device. The Testo 550 comes with a 2-way valve block with three connections and 60 refrigerant profiles to choose from.

This refrigeration manifold also comes with automatic subcooling and superheat calculations and 2 clamp probes. The total measuring range of the 550 sits between -15 psi and 870 psi for pressure measurements and between -50 °C and 150 °C for temperature measurements.

When it comes to the app integration the device you're working with needs to be on iOS 12.0. or newer software, or Android 6.0 or newer. When it comes to Bluetooth connectivity a device with Bluetooth 4.0 or newer is going to be required. The battery life of the 550 is about 250 hours and the device comes with IP 42 protection class.
